Does anyone know what the average mileage is on most Suzuki bikes in relation to engine break-down?

To make it simple: How many miles could you put on a bike, taking good care of it (as far as oil and other small things) before you feel shes wearing out?

Not exactly the answer you asked for but a motorcycle engine well maintained can last over a hundred thousand miles.

There used to a MC courier on another board I frequenbt, and he had well over 100,000 miles on his Bandit (400cc?) and he was still rolling!!

On the other hand don't maintain it, use it for stunting and it's finished in less than 10,000 miles
