The exhaust breather solenoid controls the pressure inside your exhaust chamber. depending on how hard your riding it, it makes sure there is the proper pressure in you exhaust chamber so that you low-mid range power is there on demand......this might be the reason why your power band is non-existent...im not exactly sure how to check if the solenoid is functioning properly though  sorry bout that

The adjuster knobs put more or less tension on the powervalve itself to slow down or speed up the responce. I do not think your problem lies in that area.

I think you should check ......

1) Spark plug...Put a new one in
2)Clean your airfilter and use less oil in the filter.
3) Make sure your plug cap is not full of moisture.

Just a few simple things to check that can cause your problem.

So now we get to the problem.....

If you have taken the stock pipe off and put a pipe and silencer on it you will need to rejet your bike. Usually you will need to lean out the bike as a race pipe will cause the bike to run rich hence your problem with the bike not wanting to pull revs. I suggest you purchase a manual from Suzuki to help you with the jetting and general maintenence. Get one from www.repairmanual.net

OK I understand what you mean.....The same applies in that your carbs are most likely not set for the pipe you are using. You may have it jetted for the FMF pipe that was on it and now that it has the stock pipe the jetting could be wrong. It is hard to diagnose these things by computer ........

Look into the carb section of the manual, it will give a detailed description of what each piece is and what it does. Then you have diagrams that will give you an idea of what the numbers of the jets mean as far as air/fuel mixture. If you have a hard time understanding you will need to find someone that knows what to do as you can make a wrong move and sieze the motor. Do not take it to a dealer unless you know the guy working on it is a top sod as you may get someone that knows fekall about it. Try talking to the local racers where you ride and you will find they can help you find some help I am sure.

Yes Slow Jet is the Pilot Jet........

Now does your bike have the FMF pipe or the stock pipe on it now???? If it is the stock exhaust on it now then......In my opinion your bike is flat on top end due to being way to rich(to much fuel mix)

With that said.... If your bike has the FMF system, what does FMF recommend as far as jetting with their pipe and silencer?

Also if you have other mods, such as Boyesen reeds etc....That will affect the jetting.
