Does anybody actually use these? Are they worth buying or are they just some worthless accessory for your bike. :?

I had frame sliders on my '01 gixxer 600 and when some girl accidentaly backed her car into it, it knocked it over on it's side. Well, the frame slider on that side cracked the plastic so bad upon impact that the whole side piece had to be replaced. Do frame sliders work? Possibly, but they didn't work for me.
The clutch lever, the mirror, and the entire left side fairing had to be replaced. How much more damage could have been caused from a tip over? Anyway, I'm not going to argue about this because I don't know if they really work or not. Maybe the slider splitting open my fairing was just a coincidence.
Mine were frame mounted too. I didn't know there was such as thing as fairing mounted?
Mine were the white ones from Lockhart Phillips.
First of all, they did fit my bike because the fairing was cut out so they would fit properly. Where do you get off assuming that they weren't installed correctly just because my fairing cracked? Secondly, the bike must fall over in order to slide, right? Hmmmmm....
I'm sure I will end up buying a new set of frame sliders just in case. I hope and pray that my bike never goes down, but if it does, maybe this time I'll see their full potential. Which color do you guys have...the white ones or the black ones? I've got a blue/white gsxr 600.
