went out with my gps today...dang manufacture's...speedo 35...gps 32.5,
speedo 45...gps 42, speedo 60...gps 56...gotta keep it at 64/5 to stay at 60..., they messed with the trip counters also (have not checked odometer yet), looks like its gonna avg 3.5 mile more miles than suppose too every tank on the trip counter (140 miles actually 136.5), thats more than a mpg false reading....lol

That sorta sucks! thats like 3 extra miles every 100 or 30 every 1000................. that blows when it comes to resale. by the way nice bike (avtar).

That does suck. Seriously? Suzuki is that dishonest? I'm surprised they haven't been sued over that crap. Do the dealers do that or the manufacturer?

my friends Honda VTX1300 is worse....when we ride his miles will read 108 while mine reads 100...so if ours is wrong...then his is REALLY wrong!

Are GPS that accurate? Especially for speed. I have a cheap one that attaches to my Palm Pilot and it is all over the place. Plus as for mileage seems like it would smooth out a lot of the curves in a route so it would so a shorter distance than the Speedo.

The bike-to-bike comparison is interesting and I was wonder if either has changed tire sizes from the originals, because that would make a difference.

The manufacture has nothing to gain from this so I would do a lot more testing before I started cursing Suzuki or getting together a class-action lawsuit.
