Use your abs and keep your weight off your hands. Takes practice.

Can relate to the hand hurting ordeal. During my first ride I squeezed the heck outta those grips & my arms were braced like steel for a good while. Seems funny now when I think back  .

Were you wearing gloves? If not,you should be.Also,to take the weight off your arms, squeeze the bike with your legs and relax your top half.If you can't flop your arms about a bit you are holding on too tight.

Had that same problem with the hands when I started riding, that and also fingers aching from holding the front brake and clutch. Bought a set of those hand grip exercise thingies - they worked, and now I am fine. :)

Looking forward to some pictures :)

yeah it takes alittle while to get used to the different ergos on different bikes... my palms and shoulders hurt a few days or so after I got my Kat..but I came from a standard before I got my Kat. Even though I've owned and ridden alot of other sportbikes, it always takes a bit to get used to each one.

I second that. After coming from nothing but sport and super sport bikes, I'm still getting used to my Marauder.
