I HAVE looked a number of posts on this subject and posted replies asking for advice but have not been lucky enough to get a reply. Being a bit of a newbie to the custom world I need a few things spelt out in laymen's terms.
BACKGROUND - I want to fit a 200 rear tyre to my M800. I know it will make the bit handle slightly differenlt and all that , but I am not bothered. Ultimately it will look %%%%%%, and that's my main motivation.
QUESTIONS
1. The tyre of choice appears to be a METZELER 880 Marathon (200-70-15). Is it a simple case of stock tyre off, 200 on? OR does there need to be some kind of mod carried out. Only my local garage (who is not a custom fan I hasten to add) suggestes that there is not enough room for a 200 due to the position of the drive shaft. Please can someone spell it out for me before I part company with my hard earned cash!
2. Assuming that it is simple case of replacing stock tyre for new tyre I have found 2 other tyres of the same size (an AVON & a PIRELLI). Am I right in assuming that either of these will fit too.
I appreciate I probably sound like a nugget with these bone questions, but would be grateful from someone with experience to set me straight.
Cheers
