I apologize for the multiple posts but I'm not sure which section is the best place for "for sale" items. I noticed more people post in standard forums than in the classified section.

These bags were bought from the Saddleman website for $299 +shipping/tax.
I overestimated my need for them and they were never installed. They are brand new and were taken out of the box just to ensure all parts were delivered. The box includes all mounting hardware, instructions and mounting brackets (they can be used as throw-overs as well).
As per Saddlemen, the jumbo bags are the appropriate size for the Boulevard 50's amongst others.

I'm asking for $250 shipped as I plan to use the money toward a quick release backrest system.

Thanks,
Eric

I'll give Eric props for being a decent guy and trustworthy. He just bought my backrest and was very professional about the whole thing. So somebody please buy these from him so he can put the money he just spent on my backrest back in his coffers. :)

Easy,

I've read many of your posts and know you are a well respected member of this forum. With that said, a constructive response would provide positive results instead of negativity.

Seeing that I'm apologizing ahead of time should show that I mean no harm, perhaps you could have suggested the section that is best instead. Unlike auto forums, I'm mostly a lurker here as I have less to contribute. With that said, I've been a visitor of this site for well over a year and have seen people post 4sale items in various places. It seems a lot of members that I recognize only post in sections relevant to their specific bike and this is a part that relates to all.

I apologize again if I've missed it, but I've searched the site for best practices regarding the posting of classifieds and have found nothing of relevance. Usually it's one of the first sticky's on a forum - it's certainly the case on those that I moderate.

Lastly, I'm monitoring the view count to each of my posts to take note of which gets the most eyeballs. This will allow me to post in less places in the future.

I don't wish to start an online feud or have this post receive unnecessary bumps due to this type of conversation. If you have any further criticism please PM me.

Thanks,
Eric

I will positively try not to be so negative........when I have something good to say.

Alas, it's kind of hard to suggest that you might have taken a wrong route without being a little negative.

I wasn't going to comment at all but THEN........you did it again.

No fight here, just a heads up for future reference.......for you and others.

Apologizing in advance doesn't make it OK.

The bags came today, Eric. Securely packed, and I had nearly forgotten about the rebate!

Held them up to the bike, they are so much more substantial than the Slants which came with the bike.

I think they'll fit just fine, just have to either switch the Easy Brackets to them, or get the Edge brackets.

Hopefully my description was accurate and by "much more substantial" you don't mean "TOO SUBSTANTIAL."

I'm sure you know they can be mounted with the included brackets - but Easy's obviously make things, well... easier
Please post pics once they're on - beside satisfying my own curiosity, it will help many of those that are considering bags.

Great doing business with you.

Thanks,
Eric

Ha! Just now saw your PM that the bags were delivered today. I generally use the garage door opener when leaving/arriving home, and it wasn't until I was home for over an hour after work today that I went to check the mail using the front door and discovered the box on my front porch. Pleasant surprise, indeed.

And no, by more substantial, I was simply referring to "appropriately scaled to the bike instead of the dainty little Slants which the bike came with". Love the Easy Brackets, but those Slants (optimistically sized as "Large") will only hold one boot per bag. Prior owner only put 200 miles in a year of ownership, so cargo wasn't an issue.
