No, but I'm not an old school Gixxer person either.

I'll venture a guess:

The foil thingy is some sort of a glove, 'cause it's finger holes.
The ear-shaped things are protectors for your uh . . . you know.
The silver things are slinkys (duh!)
and the Yoshiumura things are temporary tattoos, so you can look cool amongst the HD dudes.

It is actually an old Yosh duct kit originally designed for the 87 750. All of the Schwantz superbikes were kitted with them. It was designed for use as a "faux airbox" (Janis had it partially right) when using velocity stacks and MIKUNI RS-Series carburetors. Normally, the air rushing beside the legs would cause the airflow underneath the tank to tumble, thus causing the intake tracts to suck the air in unevenly.

Using the duct kit vented clean air in there, and the side covers prevented the air from tumbling. The heat shield prevented excessive heat (and built 750 motors had plenty of it) from reaching the carburetors, allowing tuners to more accurately set-up the bike.

You can also use the kit on the 1100. They are extremely rare.

I think he was dude

I plan on using this someday. Of course, I bought it like, 15 years ago . . . now I am racing and old GSXR, and don't want to use it because it is too rare. Go figure!

:D

Nuttie, I knew exatly what it was, but I don't know the English words for those things so I used the most understandable words I could hoping you would have understood me...but you never do! :eek:crap:
Mark is right, we're made to get married! [1] 8)

ciao, Janis

[1] Because it seems husband and wife never understand each other, so this must be an impotant ingredient.

:D Yup, that is an important ingredient.

Sweet! You are about one of the very few who knew what it was. Most don't. I just bought a house in Texas, so all of my parts can finally be in the garage, along w/my shop. San Antonio here I come!

Can't wait! Bring on the CMRA.

We are racing at Thunderhill the first weekend of Sept, and at Infineon the first weekend of October (4/5) or something like that.

If you want to meet some people there, LMK. That is the place to do it. I will be heading to SA for good after the October AFM race. If my luck holds, I should ber on the podium at the banquet in January. A good friend of mine also races a TLR. He is pretty quick too. He is co-owner of Triple Digits Racing in Vacaville.

I work normal hours dude!
