OK - I am trying to make sure the air filters on my Truder are clean. It was easy to get to the back breather. I have everything off that the manual said I should remove except for the right side frame head cover (do you really have to remove them to get to the front air filter?) The bolt for the front cylinder exhaust pipe covers the screw for the right side frame head cover.

Any suggestions?????

Leave those "head frame covers" alone. To access your front air filter you need to remove the gas tank. The manual tells you to take off the side covers (ones below seat), so you can expose the bolts to remove the front seat. With that out of the way you can get your gas tank off. Remember to turn off your fuel and disconnect the line. Also, put some masking tape on the frame around the side covers before you remove them, otherwise you'll scratch your paint.
