Gear shift adjustment

Is there a way to adjust the position of the gear changer? I have boots that I cannot get my two under the gear shifter to shift to a higher gear. Is there a way to change the position so i can get my big foot under it?

It is a 2001 Volusia. (Sorry) I have ordered a heel-toe shifter but it is back ordered

I was hoping I could make an adjustment in the inteim.

I will take a look for the bolt tonight.
