Gear shift adjustment

Is there a way to adjust the position of the gear changer? I have boots that I cannot get my two under the gear shifter to shift to a higher gear. Is there a way to change the position so i can get my big foot under it?

I'm having the same problem with my M50, were my boot get's stuck under the shifter at times, is there a simple way to adjust the shifter to get a little more room under the shifter and toe.
