Ok, the bike has been put away for the winter for about a week.

I was wondering what good reading material would be good for the courses I will be taking in the spring? I plan on taking some advanced (racing lessons) courses soon, and figured If I can't ride it, I may as well read about it.

I liked Proficient Motorcycling best. It's not geared toward racing, but the concepts are the same. Twist of the Wrist has a really cumbersome format, and it's chock full of grammar and spelling errors. It does explain a lot, though.

Shouldn't the title say "rinse". And here you are talking about spelling errors :D

It's not my title. You guys may have noticed that YOU CAN'T INSERT YOUR OWN TITLES. And I'm not a moderator with associated privelages. In fact, I didn't even see it 'til now. I really have no idea what it means, either. I may have to start a new topic to avoid a hijacking.

You guys forgot to mention PLAYBOY.... ehehehe  ...otherwise, I totally agree on the above titles
PS - I guess, Playboy is not a book, but then who cares? It is still 'reading' material.

Failure to cite relevance to the original post: One demerit.
Failure to include a demonstration of the suggested reading material: 2 demerits. :p

I ordered Sport-Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch.

It's a great book, however the copy I received from Amazon is a little "defective". Some pages are missing and a couple of pages are bound out of order... :(

Trust me, once my education is finished I am moving the hell away from here.

Thinking three places: Texas, California or South Carolina. (One on every coast heehe). I would say Florida, but I don't wanna see my bike fly away in a hurricane :)

There is a book in the UK aimed at motorcycle police but it is available for sale, its got a few good tips in it,its called 'The police rider's handbook to better motorcycling'.

I think any book might have a few good tips in but nothing beats going out and teaching yourself.
