Got approved for first bike today

Never had a bike before but always wanted one, msf not available till mid September looking at an 04 Kat for first bike cash not an issue if I damage it, but I may stay smart and wait till I take the msf so I won't go out on my bike and look like a total ass on the first day, also what are some good items too get for the Kat when I get it

Thanks guys, are there any items I can add because according to all the post I may drop it once or twice what are some good items for dropping protection
