All I can say is HOLY CRAP!!

I knew it was going to be more powerful, more responsive, better cornering, etc...all the things I had been reading for the last few months, but when I actually got on and rode...it was even better than I had imagined!

I was giggling like a little school girl in my helmet the whole time!!!

It was fate that I got it on Saturday. I knew that I wanted an SV650S and I knew that I wanted a yellow one. I also knew that it would have to be lowered. My boyfriend was at the local dealership on Saturday and was chatting with the guys that work there when it came out that they happened to have an 04, yellow, SVS, already lowered! Another girl had ordered a lowered SV, but turns out she wanted a naked version, and they had a faired version lowered by mistake...lucky for me!

I rode over there on my GS500 (just to "sit" on the bike  ) and 4 hours later, was going for a 125 mile ride on the SV! :bluethum:

Now I'm in the market for a Yoshi slip on and some frame sliders!

I'll post some pics asap.

Congratulations, Suzukigirl!! I'm sure you're going to love your new ride. Just out of curiousity, how do you lower a bike anyway? I have an '04 gixxer and although I'm 5'7", my feet don't completely touch the ground when I'm on it (only the front of my foot). If I could get it lowered just a tiny bit to allow both feet to fit flat on the ground, I think I'd be a little more comfortable. Suggestions anyone?

Well, I'm not an expert on it, but I believe the parts you use are called "dogbones" (probably not the real name for them...) The ones that were used on my bike are adjustable so basically you can change the amount that it is lowered if needed.

Without lowering, I could only touch w/ the balls of my feet...which didn't make me feel completely comfortable. After lowering, I can touch flat foot and I feel much more stable. It costs about $200 for the parts + labor to lower the bike...if you know someone who would do it for you, I believe the parts by themselves are about $75.

I'm sure other people in this forum will add more details!!

Hey, suzukigirl1, if you don't mind my asking, did you trade your 500 in? What did they give ya on it?
No, I didn't trade it in...I'm selling it outright. There are several people around here that are interested...it's a matter of who comes up w/ the $$ first...
