I've got a 2001 GSXR 1000. And there's something wrong with the dashboard. The sensor is ok (tested on a bandit, works fine), the wires all reach the dashboard (also tested), the rev counter works fine, the temperature is shown and all the dashboardlights are ok. Basically, everything works, except it doesn't show the speed and ,of course, doesn't count the total mileage. Replacing the inside of the dashboard will cost me too much. So i hope that someone can help me out on this! Don't want to make the coppers do overtime typing my fines.

Have you taken the bike to a dealership to see if they can look it over and give you an estimate on repair costs? It may be something simple that you missed in your troubleshooting.
