I wish there was a way to get a copy of that because that was the wildest kart I've ever seen and Ive done 77mph on 2002 Coyote with KT 100 motor and just around a 100 with 125 but that was awesome and I know my ridin buddies wont believe me when I tell them what I saw. The motorcycle guys had always asked me if me if I thought it was possible and I said they be crazy, but the Test runs where incredible, WOW My email is [email protected] net Please sent it to me Ill blow them away when I play it for them. Thank you Tom
I saw that b4 on another forum. still cool.
Not unusuall for a go cart to have a motorcycle engine on it though.
We had one with an older yamaha 650 engine in it until I tore it down to rebuild. Off-road cart though.
yea, i've had that vid on my comptuer here for quite some time now. i thought it was pretty funny myself, reminds me of playing mario kart, the way the cart literally "power slides" sideways through all of the turns. it's great!
Boy does that bring back memories...I drove something similar in college...I was in Formula SAE. We built a race car around a CBR600 engine. Not quite the same power to weight ratio (73 HP, 400 lbs) but it HOOKED up. Here are some competion pics...
We would pull a 0-60 run right around 3.5-4.0 sec, on good pavement with trac. compound. Otherwise, we just spin tires. We geared low for acceleration cuz the competions were very strict with safety...thee was no passing unless the car ahead broke down. We did take a car to an SCCA autocross event in Minn one time...with Carbs we were running about 105 mph at WOT. The real fun on that car was cornering...right around 1.75 G in the twisties. Not too shabby for a completely student built car...
