[GSXR louis]

I need a fuel tap for my 1988 GSXR750J and the one I ordered has turned up wrong for the second time.
The one I have fitted is a vacuum tap with a large black knob but the ones I have been given is a normal on/off/reserve type with a small silver lever.
Have I got a non-standard tap or is my local suzuki dealer giving me the wrong part? Can I fit the non vacuum tap and if so what will I have to do?
Any help would be welcome before I get in touch with the dealer again.

I spoke to the dealer today. It seems they supplied one for a G model rather than a J. I had to wait 10 days for the wrong one but they've got the one I need in stock (so long as the right one arrives in the post). That's the good news - the bad news is that it's twice the price.
