 kind of ridiculous question, but i'm looking at a 2000 sv650s with after market pipes and suspension work, they are asking 5900, i thought it was a bit high (13000 km) feedback please guys... Thanks... :?

Someone from a Suzuki dealer told me they are paying 70% of MSRP to Suzuki for the new bike. Because the season is far away and they still have some 2003 left over I'll go and see what a new one will cost.
A 10% over the invoice price shall be enough. Don't forget the dealer makes money on Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) too.
A good price for a brand new SV650 (not 650S) out of the door it is about $7800 (CDN). You save $1900 by buying a 3 years old bike with 13000 km on it and no warranty. I'll try to get them lower, close to $5000 to make sense.

Thank very much, i had a feeling around 5000, 5300 was right, just needed to feel it out a bit.....I will try to be patient and wait for more bikes to hit the market....pretty scarce right now.... :)

That's great info ion54. Thanks, it'll be useful to me as well.

It was very good because I've got my brand new Savage for $5600 (CDN) out of the door.
And something else you shall consider, too, is that Suzuki has a promotion now, until April 2004, and you get a free portable DVD player when buying a new bike over 250cc.
