Well, this past Friday I purchased my first bike. A GSX 600. Gotta say I am loving it. I had never rode a bike until I drove this one off the lot.

I now have 420 miles on it, and I have to say the only regret is waiting so long to buy one.

I'm gonna change the oil a little soon, as I have not been completely researved when it comes to the 6k RPM limit, lol. I've actually been pretty bad with it to be honest, its just so amazing at 6.5k and up rpms, lol...May the motorcycle gods forgive me and have mercy on my bike. (however I didnt go over 5k rpms for the first 150 miles, if thats helps any)

Anyways, I have a few questions....

I want to change the sound of the bike. I think the muffler that is on there now kinda has a rattling sound to it. I dont want to change the whole exaust system, just the muffler itself. I've heard a few bikes that have a nice holow, but not noisy sound to them, which are they?

Also, the front suspension seems a little soft or bouncy to me. How many turns should I give those tension screws? How sensative are they?

Thanks in Advance )

Thanks for the warm welcome peops )

Well, I found a nice slip on by D D for the kat. I heard it on a bike exactly like mine, and it it sound so crisp, hollowish, and not overly loud, cant wait to get it.

I need 4 Susuki stickers now. I need the big Katana stickers for the side of the bike, in grey if possible, and the 2 little "S" sysmbos for each side of the tank. I am going to paint my bike black next weekend, and do a custom tank for it. (probably a silver dragon :) )

But I still want to keep the Katana name on the side. Any idea for the stickers?

Oh shoot, almost forgot, can I use white side signals instead of the orange ones that come stock? Would it be legal? And where would I get white ones?

Personally I like the bike better without stickers. Gives it a nice clean look. But thats my opinion, but I don't know where to get them.

Yes the whiteout/clear lenses are legal. As long as the lens is clear you need amber bulbs or LED's.

COOL!!! 8)

I don't have my tattoo yet, because (unfortunately), I already have tatts where I SHOULD have put the dragon (which I DO already have designed). :eek:crap: However, I think I will end up getting one of the tattoos I already have covered over and just leave it at that. Been debating about it for a year now, since each tattoo has some sentimental value. BUT.. I want my dragon! :D

I collect Dragons (as stated). Have lots of figurines, jewelry, etc. Don't know what it is, but I just love 'em...
