Hello everyone,

My name is Hector and I live in Plainfield, IL. I have been lurking this board for ever! I really like this site and have enjoyed my MANY visits. I've learned so much from you guys (and girls) and have done the standard mods on my bike.

I have an '06 Grand Candy Blue Pearl M50. It has been a great bike, as it now has 17.5K on the clock.

Anyway, I didn't want to post until I had something positive to contribute to the crew.
Here is what I have: I found a vendor that sells the K&N air filter for our bikes for $52.64 WITH shipping!

Here is the site:
Ken's Auto Wholesale

Just do a search for the SU-8005 part number and you will find it. I will let you guys know when I receive it so you know it's legit.

Here is a pic of my steed. Later!

You didn't have to wait to contribute until you had something positive. I'm proof enough of that.

Thanks for the info.

Don't think I've ever seen a Givi case mounted like that. Clever!

Thanks Clint. It isn't actually a Givi box, its a cheap $69.00 box from JCWhitney.com. I had to make my own mounting strips as the original cheap ones would bend and the box would loosen. I used 1/4 by 1 inch iron bar and it hasn't loosened since.

UPDATE...

Well the K&N filter finally arrived! It took over two weeks, but at such a low price, I can deal with the wait time.

Just letting you all know that the seller is legit.

Ride on.

I tend to agree, and now leave K&N stuff for the racers. I'm not willing to sacrifice engine life for .5 hp.

They do look cool, though, and I realize that's a priority for some. ;-)

No biggie, to each his own. I have used K&N on all my vehicles since 1986. I have never found dirt in any carbs or MAF sensors.
I did not buy the K&N filter for extra horsepower. I bought the filter because it is a lifetime purchase. Have you priced the factory paper filters for these? I believe that the manual recommends replacing the air filter every 7K miles. That adds up. $$$
Suzuki is nuts charging over $40.00 for new filters. If I get a little more HP, than so be it.

wasn't aware of the k&n failing at dirt...
my priority... being able to clean it when i'm 10,000 miles away from home.
