How do you kep your shield from fogging up? Any products out there that work? At speed I do not have much of a problem because the air coming into my helmet vents gets rid of it, but stopped it is sometimes terrible...

I try not to huff and puff into my helmet much. ;)

Now on a serious note. Do you have vents in the lower part of your helmet? That's usually all I need. Otherwise, when you stop, just pop your shield up a crack to let the air in. You can easily pop it down again when the light's about to change etc. That's probably your simplest solution. There are defogging coats you can put on (they sell them for ski goggles etc.). I'm told that Rain-X on both inside and outside of visor can do rather well (outside for the rain obviously, but inside for defogging).

Good luck.

that is what I have been doing.. (opening it up some at an intersection and such) I will try the rain -x thing and see how it goes...

All i have to say is make sure you ride with the shield down cause those bug hurt when they hit your face.. came close but luckily my shield was down enough to deflect it.. poor bumble bee..

Vents or no vents you just need to learn to breathe a little different.

I remember when I was teaching my friend how to ride. We had the exact same halmet; color and all; I was seeing completely fine, and his shield was fogged up white (kinda funny).

Try to breathe more with your nose (but still breath with your mouth)and no large exhaling. Also; if the weather is cold or rainy try to breathe in a downward area to prevent blasting hot air onto the cold visor.

As said abouve, you can also pop open the visor one click and it can help.

Honestly this "fogging up," will become less and less the more you ride. You learn to work with it and don't even think about it.

tried the visor inserts, hated them!Tried a spray product,a lot better but you have to re-apply every few days.
The nose guard in helmets works well too, unless you wear glasses like me then they fog up instead of visor!

The breath guard (nose piece) helps a little bit. If the fogging bothers you that bad, see if you can buy a shield for your helmet that comes with a no-fog coating. I got my helmet from www.scorpionusa.com and it came with a no-fog shield. It works great. It never fogs up on me. The other route you could try is the film that you apply to the shield. The rain-x stuff might work, but that would be too much of a hassle for me.
