When I used to wear glasses I was able to feed the ear pieces in through the eye port of any full faced helmet. I would wait until my glasses were on before then securing the chin strap. It was inconvenient but once I got used to it, I never really thought about it after that.

I had a huge aversion to putting anything in my eyes or actually touching them, but when I did get up the nerve to wear contact lenses, it made many things much easier and more enjoyable. Riding was defintely one of them.

Later on, I had PRK and I've never looked back (pardon the pun).

You probably have the wrong helmet

I wear glasses (I can't wear contacts for various reasons), and looked for a full-face helmet designed for use with glasses. My Shoei has been designed so that you can put on glasses ... there is some space in the padding where the 'legs' of the glasses go. 8)

I've worn glasses many times, and I use a pair of safety glasses as a backup when I get caught in the dark with a smoked visor. No problems, but certainly not the ideal situation. I'm guessing it depends on the helmet.

One other thing: You may need to try letting the lenses be further out from your face. If I pulled mine in to their normal position, the got tugged around. Pull them away a half inch or so, and let the friction at the sides of your head hold them in place.

i dont need or use corrective glasses but sunglasses are a must sometimes in florida just look for a helmet that is "glasses friendly" my cl14 gives me no problems

the padding is made with a break in padding where the "legs" go for glasses

makes having a clear visor fine for day or night

clear visor with sunglasses makes it smoked

to me anyway

answer to ur question

i myself had the same issue.there is almost no way to put on a pair of glasses with ur helmet on cause the arms will bend,so what i did was to convert my sunglasses to yellow lenes.any glasses store can chang the lesns for u with any colors so that it will be usable during night time too.
any glasses with plastic arms will do the trick.don't need to get new helmets.stupid idea.some optometry places will give u eye ck up and corrective lenes for less than 80 bucks.good lock.

Actually I'm somewhat curious to know what make/style of helmet you're wearing.
I currently use a HJC AC-11 (full-face) and don't have any problems, other than
the extra hassle of putting them on and taking them off with the helmet.

To put on helmet,
take off glasses
open visor on helmet
put on helmet
tie helmet strap
put glasses on through visor opening

To take off helmet,
open visor
remove glasses
untie helmet strap
remove helmet
put on glasses

One of the reasons I've been looking into purchasing a flip-top helmet. :)

Yea, I had RK done, but I use a clear visor on my Shoei X-11, and still wear sun glasses during the day and yellow tinted glasses at dusk/dawn or dark.

Found often I ride with the visor open or cracked and the glasses have a lot of crude out of my eyes.

Found it easier to use the clear shield and different pairs of glass, instead of a tinted and a clear shield. Also easier to keep up in the tank bad and to keep from scratching then an extra visor

Glasses here too. You must try the helmet on with glasses, so you can make sure you can feed the glasses into the padding. Also, in many helmets the padding can be rearranged a bit, so it fits better.
Glasses are a nuisance in the beginning, but one can get used to them.

Even with a flip up you go through those same steps, just instead of flipping up the visor you flip up your helmet. I usually try to wear my contacts with sunglasses when I ride here in FL as well.

Glasses here and sometimes Fitovers on top of them. I have a Nolan N100E flip face helmet. Haven't had any problems with my glasses scooting out of place yet. Is the helmet new? maybe the padding just needs some time to form itself around them.

Contacts or Lasik.
If you can afford it, Lasik is the way to go. Did the glasses and contact thing, until 12 years ago. I am sooooooo glad I did it and now don't need to wear contact or glasses. No regrets at all. When you get up in the morning you can see, it is so nice.

On those cold days then you walk outside and your glasses fog up or even more in your helmet. Or have your contacts get cold on those cold days, when you have your visor cracked.

Lasers won't help me ... I need to wear glasses to compensate for a muscle problem that causes my eyes to focus wrong - when I look at something, my eyes cross (slightly) so that I see double without my glasses. This is in addition to a bit of correction and some compensation for a 'fold' in the retna. With glasses I can see fine, without them, everything's a bit fuzzy. I can function at home without glasses (reading, watching TV, etc.), but am definitely not road-safe.
