I have a 1987 HD FXLR 80CID (1340cc) with a Mikuni carb. The bike is stock and I need to know what kind of Mikuni carb is on it so I can get the correct rebuild kit for it. Thanks for any help anyone can give and keep it between the lines.

It's probably an HS-40 or an HSR-42,doubt it's a 45 or 48 way too big for an 80" motor,in fact the 42 is a lot for that engine really.

You can measure the carb throat in mm's to tell what size it is .
Mikuni American Corporation
By the way if the bike is stock a Mikuni carb is not stock to the bike,it would have been a Kehin 38mm butterfly carb.
If it is indeed a stock engine I'd consider a swap to a stock CV 40 from a later model bike either late EVO or early Twincam motor.
