My kids want to go out and ride their new (used) Suzukis but we are having problems checking the oil for two machines.

1. 1984 RM125 - How do you check that the crankcase oil (Tranny?) level is correct?

2. 230cc Suzuki 4 cycle Quad (OLD, we don't remember the year) what oil viscosity is appropriate.

As far as the RM goes, there should be a high level sight plug that you remove when filling the trans. with oil. I think it should take right around a quart or 900 milliliters.

I am just guessing with the quad sport but 20/50 sounds about right.

Good luck

Qracerdave,
I looked for a sight plug earlier and didn't find it. We had to bail on the day. I couldn't see coming back with two seized machines. The kids were cool. I think I'm going to try a UPS red shipment of manuals from whoever has them. I ought to be able to get them running for next weekend.

I sure appreciate your response.
Thank You
