How many Radio Shacks did you have to empty out to get 280 LEDs in blue?? :lol:Jammer said:Ok tips...from I can tell..whatever lights you put on..you can't be allowed to see them. A Gixxer has alot of black towards the bottom so I had to double up on whatever I put there. Neon is the most common..but it can burn your battery in a few hours..I figure about 3. So I used LED lights that I figure the battery can last 36 hours. The light strips I put on with 3M tape. The same that is used to put markings on cars for the manufacturer logos. Whereever there is an open spot..I put a strip of lights. So lights on any open portion of the fairing, one each on the back rear pannel on the sides..one up under so it would light up the rear shock, and two sets of lights behind the front wheel. A total of 2 strips of lights per side on the lower fairing. Connected to the batter with a fuse of course..and the remote is found under the back cowl or seat. There's a total of 280 LED lights. Last the choice of the LED lights compared to Neon was that I could bend the lights inside the fairings.
After all this..my first mod was going to be an Iridium Windshield but they're still not ready for the Gixxer 04 750. The total cost for wiring, lights, remote comes to about 400 dollars and took about 4 hours to put on.
Wonder how the local law enforcement type people would feel if they saw that screaming by at 45mph at night?? They seem to be very touchy about not displaying blue or red lights on a vehicale other then a law enforcement type vehicale.Poosey said:Bet that looks awesome going down the road man!! 8)
the cops around here in vegas are pretty laid back about it.. i asked one and he said as long as the light doesnt extend on the ground for more than like 75 feet then all is good... might be different in other places thoughWonder how the local law enforcement type people would feel if they saw that screaming by at 45mph at night?? who did you go through for that K&N filter. My shop is having issues with K&N actually getting them to distributors.SmoothCriminal said:that looks good man... i did the same on mine.. i only used 11 LEDs though and spent a grand total of 25 dollars and about 4 hours and achieved the same effect..
