Hey,
I just bought my first bike: a 1988 Katana 1100F. Yes, it is a big bike for a new rider, I'm aware. I bought it because I know all of the previous 3 owners and it was in good condition and in my price range. I got my license through a safety course 2 years ago, and haven't had money to buy a bike until now...so here I am. By the way, my name is John...I'm 24 and live in MA.
So far I love the bike and feel very comfortable on it. I only have about 50 miles on it so far...mostly back roads. It was going great until yesterday, but I'm already having problems with it, as you will see if you read the other tech help forum.
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Hopefully I won't have to ask for too much help, provided the bike cooperates, but thanks in advance to all of you who reply to not only my post(s), but to others as well. I find these forums a great way to learn the ins and outs bikes without having to do it the hard way.
