Hey everyone. I just stopped by cause I am lookin at gettin a 05 GSXR 600, My Roomate is gettin a 05 GSXR 750, he has alot more experience than I do though, I'm just used to dirt bikes and a few street bikes. I am just lookin at it now for a run around bike and lookin for a older bike for a trick bike so I don't wreck anything important. Everyone I hang out with rides quite a bit in the summer and I am sick of just sittin around while there out haha. My other buddy Chris has a 2003 GSXR 1000 I ride every once in awhile but never get on it cause I am not wreckin someone elses bike and thats alot more power at the flick of my wrist than I am used to. The only thing that worries me though is one on my buddies was at a stop light turning left when a pickup hit him at 40. Walked away with a few scrapes and bruises which is very lucky. Well thats about it for now gotten start lookin at info Later guys.

I understand where your comin from inspiron, alot of people think they know what there doing right away or try dumb stuff instantly. I just want to make in clear I am getting the GSXR for joy of riding, I am going to buy my roomates old 600 95 Katana for other things. After riding the Gixxer 1000 threw town I like the Handling better and also the looks, styling, and how comfortable it is. A person can be dumb on any bike, it just takes common sense not to be a friggin idiot and lose it. Not saying I know it all cause I don't, just not dumb.

On this site there is alot of good information for safely riding, but still no matter what bike you have its up to the rider if he is gonna use it or abuse it.

Edit: but I am dumb enough not to put this in the main lobby :-?

You used "GSXR" and "comfortable" in the same sentence? I can't imagine how a tank-humper could be comfortable! But that's just my personal opinion.

Welcome ... be safe, and may the force be with you. But beware of the dark side!

Welcome, Jason. How many total miles (or hours) would you say you have on dirt? On the street? Have you had any street training?

I have ridden Dirt bike since I was 10, so 12 years there for that and maybe 2 weeks worth total every summer for a couple summers for street with different various bikes. The only long trip I plan on really makin would be to Detroit Lakes on the 4th of July (i will probably just drive my MX-6 though), so much fun there. Other than that its just gonna be cruisin around with friends in town mainly. Since I work nights and just got home actually I have most days to go out and ride with some of the guys. well gonna go to bed for a few hours later.
