Hiya Liz,

I am glad you like the SV1000s it an awesome looking bike and wouldn't mind getting one myself. As a noobie myself I advise taking a rider course to get you familiarized and so forth. For a first bike the majority would advise to get no more than 600cc from what I heard, read, and recommendations from experience riders. If thats your passion by all means please, but buy one used 500cc-600cc to practice and also buy the SV1000s if you can afford too.

I'd be glad to help, but I won't read another giant, green, incredibly long sentence to do it.

Advice tidbit #1: If you're picking a bike because it's "HOTT", you probably shouldn't be riding at all.

Hey Liz, I would suggest taking a riding course, get yourself some good gear so ya don't get all skinned up and get a cheap used smaller bike to start with, get some time in the saddle before buying a bigger bike, be a safe rider so you will be with us for a long time. that sv is a hot bike LOL.

thanks guys

thanks for all your advice guys. but i have another question im def not getting the bike for another year so i have plenty of time to think about whats best but do you think if i practiced for like a year on smaller bikes then do you think i would be ready for the sv1000s because i know i can practice for like a month comming up in may becuase i doing an internship at my uncles chopper store but he also has smaller bikes i can practice with but anyways do you think that ill be ready if i practice really hard for like a year? then do you think that would be a good bike to get? or would it still be too hard to ride? thanks for your time- liz
