I just bought a '07 Vstar 650, after 20 years in a cage, and much has changed. I would like some feedback from other riders about recommendations and/or warnings about the various models. Upon reading the user reviews on the vendor web sites these areas of concern come to the fore
Fit: some users complained about poor fit, mis-aligined holes, bent bars etc
there was also some mention of the bar interfering wint the shifter, my 07 has floor boards, not foot pegs, writer did not specify.
Quality: the Material and workmanship were poor in some users ipinion.
ground clearance: I do not want to create a new problem
any information about spsific engine guards/highway bars would be greatly appreciated, a pic of your installation would say a thousand words but pls include a few words anaway.
