I’m looking for some ideas on how to mount some kind of bag/suitcase on my CTX700 on the rear rack, I already have saddle bags. Honda does not offer one, at least in Canada and so far I did not find any aftermarket ones.

How about a picture of your "rear rack" ?

If you have a passenger's backrest, there are quite a few third-party options......including bunje cords if it is temporary or just for travelling.

I'll try to post a pic. of my bags tomorrow.

Here's what I have done.
The big case is only used for multi-day trips and isn't usually on there.
It's just sitting on there loose for the picture.

The round one on the back stays on all the time.
It is mounted in a non-standard way so that the big case will have a solid mount.
I probably should put it back the way it belongs.
