Friggin' teens :banghead: !

Almost made me wreck today  . I was turning into the gas station this afternoon & an Expedition (a few cages back) full of teenagers laid on the horn. It was long & it wasn't the average horn (something almost like those can horns). I looked back after I finished doing 2 or 3 S's & regained my balance only to see them all hanging out of the windows pointing at me & laughing their a$$es off. I was so full of fright & rage that I could only sit still on my Gixxer. It took every bit of my 3mo of experience to hold "Q-Rokit" steady. It would have really been awful if I'd went down.

I must admit that I hadn't read anything on being prepared for a cage full of teens w/a loud horn. All I know is that it was my very first serious "close-call!"

Heck, I was more afraid during this situation than I was when I almost over-shot the curve exiting the freeway. At least then I had a choice on how & when to lay the bike down but doing S's back & forth you don't know how you're gonna go down. Friggin' teens :banghead:!

Now has anyone ever done that? Wouldn't kicking a vehicle while moving make the bike lean over in the opposite direction?
If someone purposely put my life at risk because they don't like the fact I am driving a motorcycle there would be retribution  . I think driving by and putting my carbon fiber knuckles into their mirror/window would be safer than kicking the vehicle... that's just speculation since no one has really took offense at my mode of transportation yet around here.

This topic within a topic reminds me of road rash...

I think we have all had our fantasies about pulling a driver out through the window, ripping his head off his shoulders and shoving it up his a$$ because that's just where it belonged.

When I lived in LA, the risk of doing anything like that was way too high - you never know if the cagers are armed or not. And imagine the lawsuits - pain and suffering caused by a damaged car door!

Over here in the old world, there is alot less road-rage (because there is alot less traffic in most cases). You do find the occasional idiot, but they are (thankfully) an exception and not the rule.

Sorry to hear that. I hope you see (& recognize) them some time in the future. Maybe they'll be juuust walking away from their car, headed into the local Bugger King, and you can take a pair of pliers and pull a couple of valve stems.

Daddy: "Well, you had to have done something to someone. People don't normally do things like this at random. I have raised a *****."

I always fantasize about having a paintball gun with me on the bike...to plaster the f&*%ing cagers with paint. These kids would have deserved it.

Actually, my dream "weapon" would be a cutting particle laser - just blast a pinhole through their motorblock then take out the tires. I believe that a suitable punishment for stupidity is to have them part with their money (and put it back in circulation for the rest of us to earn).

Actually you do that quite well all by yourself !
Uncle Bob, you took the words right out of my...right off my keyboard... :p

A friend and I considered mounting potato cannons on our bikes - using an electric igniter wired into the horn button for firing....

Of course, you go out in public nowadays with a couple of cylindrical objects, looking like shoulder fired anti-tank weapons, some pressurized canisters (hairspray used as propellant) and a 5 lb sack of spuds, and people get all excited...sheesh  ...no sense of humour...

Here's what you do when you encounter some idiot cagers. Before you venture out, find some old spark plugs and break off the ceramic pieces. Put your (hopefully you have some) gauntlet style gloves and stuff the pieces in the opening of them in the right hand one. Then when some A$$%$^ tailgates or otherwise harass you, reach in with your left hand and whip one pieces at something made of glass. From what I understand the chemical composition of the two materials is reactive and will shatter any window it hits. At least the outside layer of safety glass. Don't aim for the windshield though.

Just a suggestion.
