That's what the XR750 is,not just a dedicated flat tracker but for decades it has been the bike to beat,Harley has flat out ruled that domain.
Before the dual carbed alloy XR750 there was the Iron XR 750 and the Flathead KR750,all were H-D purpose built race bikes.

Thanks Y2K. Now that's surely one to have in the collection. I don't think Harley exported too many of these, they're quite rare in Australia.

Sure thing sir.
The XR 750 is fairly rare here as well, they just didn't build a lot of race bikes and the last complete XR 750 from Harley was built in 1980.
They pretty much just sell parts to build the engines these days and racers build from that but the XR's still dominate in flat track racing to this day.

You couldn't be more wrong, look at the pics above just for starters.
Then consider these riders....
The world's most traveled motorcyle.... World's Most Travelled Motorcycle. A motorcycle trip to visit every country in the world by Peter and Kay Forwood on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Dave Barr, around the world double amputee..... www.davebarr.com

There's a bike somewhere under that mess? Yikes. It looks more like a VW bug.

Jay_Mack - I don't know that there is such a thing as "too many" when it comes to Harleys ... or any motorcycles for that matter.
