I hit mine with a blow dryer, scrapped 99 percent off with my thumbnail, and then used a little petrol with a shop towel to get the adhesive and you now never knew there was a "lawsuit induced" warning label.

I used rubbing alcohol and scrubbed it with cotton balls. After I got it all off, I waxed it and I couldn't even tell there was a sticker there. :D

I just finished removing them from my SV. 7 stickers!!!! In French AND English.

I tried WD-40 and lighter fluid. Lighter fluid worked best to remove to residue.

2 of them stickers (one on the black plastic on the side of the speedo) and one on the frame took 2 minutes (for both) to remove. I was so happy.

Blowdryer works nice too. MUCH MUCH easier to remove the stickers.

Go to your local auto parts store and 3M makes a sticker remover. You just rub it on and keep applying several coats,, use a hair dryer and it will expedite the process. Just slowly peel the sticker off,, any glue can be removed fairly easy with the stuff,, just keep rubbing. Eventually it will come off and you won't scrape or scratch your paint.

Then use a good degreaser soap to remove any residue from the 3M stuff and wax that part.

Taking off the sticker took under a minute

I recomend a rub off wheel that is used in automotive body work. It is a rubber attachment that fits on a grinder and does not scuff or mar the paint/clearcoat. It is designed specifically for taking off stickers from paint. One piece of advice, do NOT use this on plastic or fiberglass fenders because it will melt them and mess up the paint, I unfortunately learned this the hard way but it does work great on the gas tank sticker.

I used a product called "De-solv-it". It gets glue off of any surface. There are many products out there like that.

If all else fails, a soft cloth with just a drop of gasoline (that's right, gas) will get off the sticker's glue.

No matter what I use, I immediately wax that area.

I took mine off with "GooGone" This stuff will dissolve any sticky material. I used to use it all the time to clean electronics. Just let it sit on the surface for a few minutes and the sticker will peel off and the glue left behind you can just roll up into a kind of booger and flick away! Left no visible marks on the tank surface when wiped off with a soapy cloth.
