Okay so I have this textile jacket, yeah I own a jacket, from Shift it's their Super Street model.

And it states there and on the Shift site that it has removable adjustable CE approved shoulder and elbow protection, however I can't seem to find the hole or zipper or flap to allow me to remove the pads from the jacket. I can move them but not remove them?? Is this normal or am I just dumb??

In my jackets, the pads are all removable, since the jackets are washable but the pads nicht. They are in pockets held closed with Velcro.

If your jacket is not washable, then maybe the pads are sewn in permanently. In this case, you are SOL.

Yeah the jacket is washable but I've been around the edges of the entire liner and sleeves twice. The only velcro is on the back protector pouch and that is totally sew up too.

I'm gonna call the company today cause I'm to dumb to operate my jacket. :(

Take it back to the dealer - ask him if it's removable. If not, get your money back. If you lost your receipt... well, then cut them out, and glue some velcro pads on them.

PS - that's a cool looking jacket!

Why do you want to remove them in the first place ?
Well, my textile jacket has the CE Knox pads, and the instructions say to remove the pads before cleaning. When I first got it out of the box it was shipped in it smelled.. errr... funky. So maybe the poor deluded soul's actually trying to follow directions? :p

Okay to keep you all up to date. Friday I called Shift and spoke with a cust service rep. Since he couldn't answer my question right then he took my name and number to call me back. Well today I got a return phone call from Shift, yeah I was shocked too, and he had the answer that I was seeking. Deep inside the sleeves of the jacket just about where the elbows are they have a velcroed opening for removeal and adjustment of the CE pads.

You'd think that important info should be on the hang tags that come with the jacket since 90% of the time your buying one off a hanger on the sales floor and not in a box. So all is good in the world tonight I can adjust and clean my jacket at needed when I need to armed with this new info.
