yes another one of these threads!!

well i've been told by Nut and others that it's 'harder' to wheelie the older GSXR's. any kind of wheelie that i would get is just like 3"-6" off the ground. now i never tried to clutch it or anything. just from hammering on her.

but just 10 minutes ago. i leave my street and go straight across. well there were some people out looking at me. so as i go i give it some gas. then let off abit then give her even more gas. well, the front tire came up like a rocket!! i was straight up in the air. i didn't panic that much. until i saw there was ALOT of loose gravel about 5 feet ahead of me!! just as i see it. i get this vision in my head of what 'could' happen if i lost it!! it wasn't a pretty sight. i just let off the throttle abit. and my front end came down. but not until i went thru that loose gravel though!!

i'm lost for words of how it felt doing that wheelie. now i'm not going to be trying to do it all the time now. but it was fun!!

Stock 750. Not 1100.

Your front end dove a bit, then when you gassed it, it sprung up a bit helping it pop up. 1100s will pull the front wheel up quite easily.

Everybody seems to remember there first...like strawberry wine................
Actually I thought of the song by Pat Benatar when you wrote that since I haven't gotten my front end up yet.

How am I supposed to make it through another day
What am I supposed to do now that you’ve gone away
Is there anything encouraging you can say to me
Did you really think my heart was made of stone
Maybe you never gave it any thought at all
How nice to go through live oblivious and free

Life is sweet, sweet as strawberry wine
And bitter too, like the seeds on the vine
And you are that, you are more than sublime
And bitter too, lovin’ you, has been an experience

How am I supposed to ever feel the same
These kind of situations always have a way
Of screwing up your mind and messing with your sanity
How many days and nights will have to come and go
Before I realize what I already know
I’m better off without you like I thought I’d be

Life is sweet, sweet as strawberry wine
And bitter too, like the seeds on the vine
And you are that, you are more than sublime
And bitter too, lovin’ you, has been an experience

life is sweet

Life is sweet, sweet as strawberry wine
And bitter too, like the seeds on the vine
And you are that, you are more than sublime
And bitter too, lovin’ you, has been an experience

And bitter too, lovin’ you, has been an experience.......

I'm getting pretty comfortable with my bike, and bringing the front up is part of every ride. The cows are showing signs of being impressed.

Did see the "W" word.................!!!!!!!!!??????????

Wheelies are fun, just don't forget you can tap that rear brake and bring the front end back down.

No officer I wasn't riding a wheelie. This is a unicycle with a spare tire in the front.

I was messing around on a side street and revved the engine a whole lot, and let out on the clutch, and I remember thinking that I could feel the front end lift a couple inches, but I'm not sure if it actually did.

Last night I was out on a country road trying to do it.. revving the engine to 4500-5000rpm in 3rd gear or so and trying to get it to come up, but it wouldn't! It just sprung the bike forward. I guess I was either too high in gear, or not revving high enough. I thought my 600 had more power than that!
