I'm writing this communique to you all from my sickbed right now. I have to be quick b4 my girlfriend comes in and catches me. She's regimented my sleeping, pill-taking and eating times and I'm banned from touching any of my gadgets.
I swear, she's the med student from hell. I don't know how her patients put up with her.
Anyway, I'd had all these plans for installing my new Yosh pipe and other fixin's to my bike this weekend, but all that went to the dogs in the worst way.
I don't sleep much, so I was up till late on Friday night, playing Tekken 5 and watching my Tivoed episodes of 'The 4400' and 'Battlestar Galactica'.
I remember going to bed at about 3am...mostly because an 'old friend' called me at about that time, trying to get a bootie call (I respectfully declined) and I was fine at the time, except for a slight headache.
I woke up at 6am and the whole universe was a ball of pain. My head, eyes, hips, throat....God, it was awful.
So all of Saturday and so far, all of today has been spent in this very bed....sickie-poo!!!
What'll suck the most is if I'm up and about just in time for work tomorrow, but knowing my luck, that's probably exactly what's gonna happen.
****! here she comes...gotta go y'all.....

You're not the only one! After weeks of wet miserable weather, it's 70+ degrees and sunny here! Perfect weekend for riding. I was going to pre-ride the first half of my Iron Butt ride. Instead, I'm home with the flu! To sick to ride. Guess I'll just do some more of the route planning, etc. Murphy SUCKS! Murphy needs to move out! Like to Switzerland or someplace far away! Right Ispiron?

What???

We got 6" of new snow today ... and they are predicting the coldest nights of this winter in the coming days. Right now, it's about 20°F outside, and the streets are icy. At the stable, there was a car sitting right in front of the entrance - it hat slid sideways about 30' down the hill. I came within about 6" of hitting it as my Golf started sliding sideways toward it.

Got on the SV650s yesterday for a quick 5 mile run. Yeah Baby, Yeah!!! I guess everyone around me is sick with the common cold. BUMMER. Thank God, literally, I've been hanging tough for the entire year. Plus don't forget ZICAM. Oh, & by the way how about enjoying the water for:
1 - Ski/snowboard
2 - Future hunting
OUT,
"G"
P.S. My son says: Nothing.

Sorry ot hear about the flu thing. That sucks. About 3 weeks ago, they passed it around my work. Most had it for 4-5 days. I (along with ONE other dude so far) got lucky enough to have it pass through me in about 12 hours. I went home feeling tired, and my temp shot up to 101+ in about 2 hours. All o f my joints hurt, my shins REALLY hurt for some reason. By midnight that night, I knew I was going to work the next day.

I have no idea what there is about me (and this one other dude) that allowed us to pass the flu in 12 hours, but I'm surely thankful for it!!

I wish they'd tell ME at work not to come back till I'm well.
Chances are, I'd show up sometime in '07 or so....just to be safe.

I think he meant "physically" well, not mentally. If my company was waiting until I was mentally fit, I'd be on permanent disability

I think I need some rest too. May be gettin a little couch. Sorry to hear about the flu MIYAMOTO. Sorry to hear about the germ-a-phobic girlfriend. Sorry you are in Chicago and it's cold. Sorry you didn't get to go on a booty call cuz you have a germa-a-phobic girlfriend. Sorry your germ-a-phobic girlfriend lives in Chicago where it is cold.

Germaphobic? No...just one of those women who has to suddenly become 'SuperMom' when I so much as cough a little bit.
But there are benefits.
1. She's very caring/loving...and seemingly devoted to me. She MUST be mad!
2. She's REALLY gorgeous and plays 'doctor' fairly well.
3. Bootie Calls with Blonde German Au Pairs are pretty over-rated anyway!
