Gonna keep it short and sweet, thanks in advance to anyone who does reply with advice! '07 Boulevard C50T
Not a professional mechanic, but have been doing my own work for awhile on vehicles to save labor costs. Went to pull the rear cylinder spark plug trying to find why oil is splattering on the bottom of the gas tank and get an idea on whats going on inside the engine since the bike did sit in storage for a year from its previous owner and needs work. Socket got stuck inside the housing, went to pull it out and noticed it was binding up on a bolt. Stupid me didn't think to find out what the bolt was prior to trying to take it out to get the socket out of the spark housing. Now the rocker arm bolt wont go all the way back in, and think I may have pulled it out far enough for the washer on the inside to fall. Did hear a small "*****", bolt came out maybe half the way prior to me yelling at myself for (messing stuff) up more and putting the ratchet down to do some homework on how to get it fixed. Was already planning on checking the valve clearances prior to turning her over again.
My query is if it is possible to get that washer back in place from just the inspection window and get that bolt back in, or does the cylinder head cover need to come off? And if the later, does the cover just "pop" off, or does it take a pry bar and Hercules to separate it?
Again, thanks in advance for anyone willing to help!
