Friends,

My lady said I look kind of funny on the SV650. My take on it is that at 6'2" or over anyone looks kind of funny ... unless riding a "long" bike (i.e. bandit). What do you think?

Tell her that she looks funny too!! :)

Just kidding...do not...repeat...do not...tell her that (unless you're looking for a reason to break up!)

No, that bike is not small by any means!

6'2" 195lbs, I can still ride whatever I want. If your comfortable then it really doesn't matter what others think you look like. Live your life

I look funny trying to walk off the bike in one piece leathers!
They definately didn't take into account that you might want to move about off the bike when you get to where you are going!

Maybe I should just park up,but not get off and do my best to look KEWL!

Question: From a physics standpoint, woudl it be better to ride a bike smaller than you, or a bike larger than you?

I know the weight of the rider will come into play with acceleration, but I'm thinking handling. Is it better to have your body mass make up a substantial portion of the rider/bike package, or a lesser portion?

Discuss.

I would say ... big rider, big bike. The total weight is higher, but the center of gravity will be lower (or closer to where the engineers intended when they designed the bike), so it should handle better. And, a big bike *usually* has more power, so it'll be faster too :)

And won't you have the best corner speed when the CG is where the engineers intended it to be?
The engineers would have an adjustable CG if they could. That's where a rider comes in.
