Why buy a bike that doesn't have enough power? If the SV650S wasn't enough for you, why didn't you just buy the SV1000 ?

Who doesn't like to modify and improve their bikes? It's about customization and enjoyment. Are your vehicles all stock?

Car - yup, it hasn't changed much (except for a few scratches and dents) from the way the dealer delivered it 5 years ago.

Bike - I've made some changes, like the bar-end mirrors, engine protector bars and windscreen, to make the bike safer or easier to ride. The TRE and K&N air filter help the bike run a bit better, but I wasn't expecting huge performance jumps. I chose a bike that had enough power and torque for my needs - if I decide to replace the exhaust and install a PowerCommander, that would be to change the sound or improve the milage - I don't need more power. However, this is pretty low on my priority list at the moment - first I'm going to get a mobile GPS system, put a few thousand miles on her this summer, then she'll need a service and new tires.

better sound 4 my sv650

well inspiron this is my first bike, and being the speed junky that i am (i took an R6 for a test ride with only a couple of weekends of experiance on a CB250, and brought it straight up to about 250 km/h in traffic and then proceeded to try endos/stoppies on the way back to the dealership..) i thought maybe i should take my grandfather's advice and go about things carefully.....i'm in no rush to hurt myself or my bank account. when i'm ready to move up from this bike i'm going straight to the bike that i've always wanted....GSXR 1000....by then i'll be the kind of rider that can handle a bike like that to the fullest. betta recognize, i ain't no fool.

Every time I hear someone talk like that, I picture hearing about their death on the news because they slammed into something or "lost control" as the media likes to call it. It's usually a younger rider being stupid.
