So here is the story, I bought a new LED Tail Light that has turn signals installed in it. However I have been running into issues that I am now stumped on. First, I removed the stock tail light and couldn't salvage the end of the wires for the light bulb, so I spliced the LED Tail light's green and red cables to the old cables and spliced the turn signals in as well. However, on the LED Tail light there is also a black cable that I had no idea what to do with. Well when I hooked all of it in the tail light didn't come on, so I called up my local harley dealer and they told me I needed a Load Equalizer. So I went out, and bought the equalizer, and spliced that in as well with the turn signals and the black wire, however now it is still not turning on. I am running out of ideas, does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try next? Light Scheme.png

The black lead probably is a ground (-) that needs to be connected.

The Harley shop gave you some incredibly bad advice because the equalizer only affects the blinkers and not the tail light.

You REALLY need a multi-meter and someone who knows how to use it.

Did the new light not come with a diagram of how it's wired ??
