It doesn't get better than today!!!

7201 Views 87 Replies 21 Participants Last post by  Nexus242
Temp is 81 with 45% humidity, not a cloud in the damn sky, the wind in my hair and face just crusing around for the hell of it (no helmet and jacket today). I took the long way home from Pep Boys, like the extra 10 mile long way home cause it's just so damn pretty out. And oh yeah the streets of Orlando are alive with bikers!! Can't wait to get up to Daytona Beach later on. It's gonna be like this for the next week, man I picked the best week to go on vacation!!!!

:)

humm I guess you can edit a title on this software. Cool

I must say this board is obessed with crashing or going down and gear.
inspiron said:
Bikers don't usually talk about it - but it is a very real danger.
Are you kidding me?? It makes up nearly 50% of the posts here. I make my choices and will deal with the actions that result thank you very much.

Maybe you should come to Biketoberfest and preach to the masses there the weather is going to in the mid 80s and mostly sunny and not a chance of rain.

Why would you even mention no helmet if you didn't want to get a reaction?
Dare i say bait?? Cause I knew that someone if not everyone would single that one statement out above any and everything else I wrote in that post. Pretty good logic there.

Guess what we don't care if you're stupid enough to think that because it's a nice day that you're not going to crash. :
Yeah you say that but noone ever seem to miss and opt to tell someone they are stoopid or a squid for doing what you justify as unsafe or reckless. If you don't care don't past in the thread. If you think I'm foolish, okay I hear you so let's not bring it up in every single post I make. Your not my daddy or mommie so stop telling what I can and can't do, and what I should wear.
Thank you.

I don't think you're foolish, just ignorant. I hope when you learn, the price isn't too high. 8)
thank you.

I really don't have any desire to repeat myself, so just read my post from last night (my time): http://www.suzuki-bikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=41987#41987
Well I can say that not everyone is of your mind set or believe in what you do and some of those people just might have more riding experience then you and others do. Oh I know the mods are behind you, I've read thier posts they are quite gear happy. However If you have to agree with them to post on here then maybe that should part of the rules when you sign up or maybe a sticky on top of this forum. Fall in line or get out, eh??

When I get back from Biketoberfest I'll post some pics that will make your head spin and get you back on your soapbox. Untill then........

Do even better than that. My guess is your pretty young and have very little road time on the bike. Post up your first crash instead, that way we can all tell you we told you so.
no I'm middle aged. I'll see what I can do for a crash pic, as long as my right hand works I should be able to press the shutter.

Flag on the post!! Ah that's gonna be a 15 yard penelty for missquoting the great American Mel Brooks classic "Blazing Saddles!" :)

But...seriously...I agree with you as well. For the most part, we give people crap because we actually care and don't want anything bad to happen to someone...even if we haven't met them face to face.
If this is what you do to people that you care for, my sympathy goes out to the ones you've met and love.

But some how those that wish I crash and get head to toe road rash and become a quad paraplegic like Chris Reeves and a become a burden to my family of cats just so they can tell me at that point "We told you So!!" with joyfull glee, I don't think they echo your sentiment SG1. But hey I know tough love and in short life is pain, anyone telling you differently is selling you something.

Well, I've seen these debates in other motorcycle forums over gear.

For those who think that they have a right to ride in shorts and flip flops I have one question.

How wuld you feel, if, (after you go down in no gear) - the paramedics and ER staff refused you treatment because you didn't avail yourself of the most basic opportunity to minimise said injuries?

Just curious to see what the thoughts are on that.
As they would refuse to treat drunk drivers, un restrained drivers, driver with suspened license?? Got your answer right hear, Morgan, Colling and Gilbert - For The People

Next you'll ask if hospitals should refuse care if you don't have insurance!!

Lastly gear, except for helmets in 20 states, isn't required by the DOT, AMA or your insurance company. And DON'T tell you think they should be involved with that area.
That's it, it's time to ban all motorcycle cause they are too dangerous and everyone crashes. Too late to get this on the Nov 2nd ballot but maybe for early 2005??

Enjoy it while you can boys Motorcycle are gonna be outlawed cause they injury rate out weights their pleasure purpose.

Interesting.

So, two guys go riding together. They're on identical bikes, with the same amount of experience, same ages & driving histories, (translation - they're paying the same for insurance).
Should we assume first that all states require insurance to operate a motorcycle??? Funny how that isn't the case in every state?? Wonder why that is??? Or that you must carry more then PIP on a bike in states the require insurance???

How many bike accidents don't go declared cause the deductable is higher then the damage and no one wants the claim on their insurance record.

I'm gonna take a 24hr time out guys. Goin to Daytona tomorrow to be with my biker peeps. So we can continue to beat this dead horse again tomorrow night providing I don't crash and die to prove ya'll points.

Cheers!!!

Read this again and take out the five words in the parentheses (sp?) and its a boring 4 or 5 post thread. Instead Nexus throws in the "bait" and it's a five pager. In reality if it wern't for squids, we wouldn't have such great debates that if any noob would read , would relise the benefits of gear.
Sir you are the second smartest person on this board, me being tops in that area. I nearly lost all faith in some of the members of this board but you've renewed my faith that reading comprehension isn't a lost art or skill.

Well I figured he meant guilty, which I'm quite sure he did. However, I started to think about the large vocabulary usage around here. Quilty could be some fancy english talk er sumpin.
Yeah I got that too but the G and Q keys aren't even remotely close together, you don't even use the same finger to type them. How can you not proof read your posts after hitting submit??

I'm bettin it's Canadian, since he's in New York state and most likely close to that great white north border or he visits there often he must have picked up the local dialect.

Quilty, i'll try to work that into some coverstations this weekend and impress some people.

Not to be a dick, but you misspelled one of the 6 words in the title.
Ever try to edit a thread title before???

Humm vBulletin Version 3.0.1 code is different then, others have limited time to edit posts before you get locked out

Don't worry we're all dicks at some points in our lives. However grammer and spelling aren't my strong points. Going back thru my highschool and grammer school years I could show you some english and term papers that have more red ink on them George Bush's federal balance sheet!! Look I can't spell, I know it, I have terrible grammer, I know it, it's one of my many fatal flaws. I'm amazed I can spell my own name sometimes. Without the assistance of F7 in MS word you'd think I actually went to school in Florida and graduated!!!!
