I just went to the dealer and bought a new boulevard m50. I'm feeling a little bit apprehensive about spending the money.. you know buyers guilt and all.... I get to ride it home tomorrow. I hope it's worth it

Thanks

Its worth it. It shares a powertrain with the C50/ volucia, one of the most reliable and best selling cruisers on the market, so it should be a good bike mechanically for you. And compared to many bikes, or just about ANY car, it really isn't that much money.
Just enjoy it, and when you are old and gray and all your friends are talking about the bikes they always wanted (but they got new siding for the house or a dinnette set instead) you an smile and tell them that you lived the dream.

I also just bought an M50, and had buyer's remorse....for the first 2 miles that is! I love this bike...my wife is slowly coming around....she hated it at first, but I took her for a ride the other night and she actually rode it around the yard by herself...lol...now she wants to get it on the street and shift, etc....I told her that can wait for next month's lesson...

Nice, I'm just a single 23 year old. A lot of people my age want sport bikes, but I couldn't bring myself to buy one. Tomorrow at 5pm I get to take the bike home. I hope I am as pleased as you are.

Ahhh Yes,,,Buyers remorse,,, it's a wonderful thing,,,, you feel bad at first,, but once you ride it the remorse becomes buyers euphoria,, it's a good rush, kinda like that warm fuzzy feeling!!!!!

Congrats on the new bike!!!!! I too had the buyers remorse,, as ChadRob stated,, it went away after the first few miles.

ive had mine 9 weeks and have 2810 miles on it...love it!

like they say above, you wont regret it as soon as you ride it. the handling on the M is awesome and it performs quite well too.

the ride is a little stiff, be sure to adjust the rear shock down to 1 instead of the factory 3 (just use the included wrench with the extension bar and crank it to 4, 5--7 then down to 1 again, cant go backwards)...your butt will thank you.

I guess we'll find out today.... 8 hours left till I pick it up. After reading through these forums for a few days and seeing what you're all saying I can't imagine I'll dislike the bike at all.

So what kind of break in period am I looking at for this bike?

600 miles to the first service,, I wouldn't over Hoss it too much for the first 1000 to 1500 miles. Vary the speeds and the driving conditions,, DRIVE THE BIKE!!!!!! BUt don't over beat it up before the motor gets good and broken in,, I have about 1500 miles on mine and I haven't pushed it that hard yet,, of course I have a little more torque on hand than the M50 has,, Pinhy or one of the M50 boys could tell you more about the speeds to avoid in what gears for your bike. Rule of thumb just treat it like it's something you would want to keep for a while.

I bought my bike on Wednesday. Had it delivered on Thursday. I rode it up and down our small road to get a feel of the bike. This was the first time on a motorcycle. I loved it. You are right the buyer's remorse disappears in seconds. I am scheduled for a class on the 12th. I can't wait.

I put 1030 miles on my new C50 within 6 days. I didn't get my first service until 1230 miles. Right after my service checkup I put Vance and Hines Straight Shots on it and love it more than ever. I guess I'm from the school of thought that says "break it in how you plan on driving it"... I didn't beat it for the first 600 miles, but I didn't put put around either. JMO
