I know I will get a blast from a few of you.

I just got my Motorcycle Endorsement last Tuesday. I don't think I have even been so nervous. I have about 2000 km on my bike but I still was very nervous with the instructor watching. The dealership brought down a different bike that I only tried once. I touched my foot down on the last figure eight  , the instructor made me do two more figure eights and said your all good to go.

I am able to do every thing on my bike with no troubles at all but I wanted to do it on a smaller bike. I know that It was not proper to ride without a license but I do have insurance and I could not afford to take the MSF course it cost $360.00. I am not working and the money was something that I just did not have.

I did not think that I would be so nervous, but I held my breath for the whole time I think. You could feel my heart though my jacket when I was done.

Hunter, congrats on the endorsement.

So, how's the permit work over there? In QC, once you pass the closed circuit exam you get a license that allows to ride but you must be accompanied. 7 months with that license is required. Then you take the road exam and you get your full license. The course is mandatory and is about $400 Cdn.

Congrats Hunter! So now you can ride during the day on the main roads, instead of at night in big empty parking lots!

Lou,
In NB we have to write a test which equates to a car learners permit test with a short MC section. Then we have to do the closed parking lot test. One straight line, back through the cones (slalom) , two circles both directions, two figure 8's, then your done and you are fully licensed. There are two endorsements , <550cc and >550cc.

Good job, Hunter. Did you previously have a permit, or was that expired?

No previous permit, just insurance. I now have a 5A, this allows me to ride all bikes. I should have not been riding with out the permit but I did.

Hell no, I was going just about every where I could when I had the time. Trapper and I went a few times. This is my first bike that I have ever owned. For the first week I did the parking lot thing, after that I was off like the wind.

I really want to thank every one for ALL OF THE INFORMATION that has been posted. There are to many things to mention that I have learned from this web site. I know that I will always learn something new each and every day, but for the most part I believe that I have gained a really good foundation to start with.

THANK YOU ALL.........
