Hi!
I am building a snowmobile with a katana 600 93 engine. We bought the ignitor and now we need to connect it. Unfortunately, every book, dealer and Suzuki canada have the wires colors coming in the ignitor in a circuit diagram, but they don't tell you to which pin exactly they connect.

The wiring harness cost like 400$ at the dealer, but im trying to find used one. However, i dont really need it, I just need the information.

If someone has a 89-95 suzuki Katana 600 or gsx600F, can you take a picture (or draw a little sketch) of the two connectors going into the ignitor so I can see which colors goes where on the connector.

Thank you so much! You just saved my life!!! And you explained it pretty well too.

I went last night to connect everything and guess what! We go a spark!!! The next step was to connect the fuel pump, but right now its the snomobile vaccum diaphragm pump. We tried it and doesn't seen to pump enough fuel (it did pump some in the fuel lines). However, we sprayed some EZ start or whatever that stuff is called directly in the carbs air intake and the engine ran for 2-3 seconds. I am so happy

So I am going to get an electric fuel pump today and try it out.

As for my transmission, we removed the centrigual clutch and we just installed a sprocket instead. This sprocket is directly connected to the bike transmission with a chain. Well see how it works, but if we neeed to, we will probably put a smaller sprocket at the transmission or a bigger one a the other end.
