How far have people been able to ride on a full tank of gas before hitting the reserve on a Katana 750? Yesterday I had to switch to reserve after about 150 miles. I thought that seemed low. When I filled it up again (about 2 miles past switching to reserve) it took 3.5 gallons to fill.

Also, the feeling during the last couple miles before hitting reserver was kind of weird. The engine did not sputter, it just slowly lost power until there was almost nothing left (at wich point I pulled over and switched to reserve). I expected it to be more abrupt than that.

i generally have to flip it into reserve around 150-170 miles depending on riding....and when i go to fill it barely takes 4 gallons... the reserve is 1.5 gallons.

When I had a 95 Kat 750, it pretty much acted just as you desscribe. around 130-160 miles I had to switch to reserve, and when that happened it would loose power, and then eventually die.

I had a 2001 Kat 750 and I normally got around 150 miles before I needed to fill up. I wasn't using my reserve supply by that time, but I was getting low enough that it worried me.

My 04 600 KAT gets 190miles total. 150miles to reserve. I though it was just me who had the loss of power but figured out it would only do it on freeway when near empty.

I've never had to switch my 04 Kat 750 to reserve, but when I fill up, I'm usually putting 3.3-3.4 gallons into it and it's right at 150 miles.

Can't add anything here, 150 is normal.

Just be glad you don't have a twin. My buddies riding the TLR's and TLS's are only getting about 100 before they start sweating :shock:

You might consider making a new post with your question of mileage. Old posts seldom result in anything but additional posts stating it's a dead or old thread.
