Garret,

The dealer I got my bike from offered an extended warranty for about $500... Before I bought it I looked it over and it basically covered nothing. Engine failure (if I could prove I did not cause it) and internal transmission failure (with some caveats in the wording I don't remember specifics) was basically all. I figured it was not worth it and did not buy it.

It's a personal decision but I personaly do not ever buy extended warranties.

Problem one is that the particular problem you have is hardly ever covered and you can never be sure of getting your money's worth ( not putting down Suzuki's warranty, just warranties in general ).

Second if I add up all the money I saved by not buying extended warraties on my bike, cars, fridge, stereo, etc... I have more than enough money to cover about anything that comes up.
