I was watching a bike racing video. They were wearing full suits, and I noticed that they would "slide" when falling off the bike. I am after the safest suit that will protect me if anything were to happen to me. Know of any good links for protective suits, jackets, pants I can check out at a moderate price?

Just remember that you get what you pay for. A good custom set of leathers will run $1,200 - $1,800 or so.

BTW, I crashed in T6 at Infineon 2 1/2 weeks ago. I hit the pavement at around 90 mph. I did NOT slide. I tumbled like a MFer for about 50-60 yards. My Z-Custom suit saved my butt. I also paid extra to have the GP armor installed. If not for that, I most likely would have a broken shoulder now.

Pay the cost ONCE for the good gear. I just don't understand why you would not wear ful leathers at all times on the street.

Thanks! I appreciate all the links I can get!
//I have a Joe Rocket Speedmaster onepiece leather. I am very pleased with it.

//A onepiece leather with good armor offers the best protection. They are also very comfortable ON THE BIKE. More comfortable than jeans and a jacket.

//OFF THE BIKE, they are not so comfortable. They want to lean forward all the time. Personally I can live with it and will wear it any time temperature/obligations permit.

//When temps just don't allow for it or I have to wear specific clothing (work) I will wear the phoenix jacket and pants over whatever clothing I have to wear, or go bareassed under them when it is really hot.

//Get some good gloves. Hands are hard to fix.
