Hey everybody. just curious in Philadelphia and surronding counties the local police are forbidden to chase MC's due to fatalities and lawsuits. So defacto it's as if there was no speed limit for MC's. I've been stopped a couple times (sideways license and 1 cali stop) but never got a ticket and cops have been pretty cool. One said he'd worked highway and we spent 20 min. passing riding tips. By and large (from what I've seen) we Philly riders remain a a very well mannered, law abiding bunch. Only down side is it makes it kind of hard to have a stolen bike recovered. how is it where you live?

Boston has lots of MC cops, but my general impression is that they don't really like bikers. Maybe I'm wrong. :?

Dunno... In cambridge, whenever I ride to and from work and pass any of them, I get and receive a nod of recognition etc.

So far no probs. Even the one cop that pulled me over for going a bit fast (on my old bike, 1975 Honda CL360), just gave me a warning and we chatted about my bike for a bit.
