Well, I guess this is more of a people question than a parts question.

My C50T has the factory saddle bags. I plan on lots of riding when I go to San Diego next year. I think it will be nice to have the bags for those necessities, but I am concerned with someone being able to just walk up and take my stuff?

Is this generally an issue? Anyone have any ideas for a way to lock those bags?

Or am I just too untrusting of our fellow humans? LMAO

I have never had a problem with people messing with my bags. If you want your bags to lock the only thing I can think of off hand is hard bags. But regarless of what you do if they really want in there they will. My bags have 3 buckles on each side. I would hope that alone would make them not try as it takes a little time to open them.
I just would not leave anything that you want to make sure you keep in them.

San Diego isn't Mayberry, so you're right to be cautious. But on the other hand I notice very few people lock these things up from what I can tell. Might go back to old question of locking up your convertible. Do you have something in there they can steal worth more than replacing a slashed top.

If you decide to go that route with getting different bags let me know,, I like the Boulevard bags and I think,,,,and as I said,,, I think,,, the Boulevard C50T bags are the same as the C90T bags,, not sure bout if they are then I'd be willing to give ya a few dollars to help you get the ones you want.

If not you could always change the mounts to the removable bags and tote them in with you,, even thought that could be a pain,, but just an idea.

I am not worried about the locking because I live in Mayberry. :)
