Finding a STOCK exhaust system for a 20 year old bike is going to be a SERIOUS problem.

I think you need to visit some local Harley dealers (there has to be a LOT of them in your area)
and then search out independent Harley shops too. Probably a lot of them too.

Hopefully after all of that, you will find one or more shop that can suggest a good solution to your problem.
Either a different year stock system that will fit........OR upon seeing what you have can supply some baffles that will solve your problem.

You need to keep an open mind here.
Flatly stating that you "can't use a slip on" is not going to help solve the problem.

I see a bunch of the exact one I need on sites like ebay. I just would rather get it locally if possible, save on shipping, examine the pipes, etc... Of course, I'd be fine with a comparable affordable exhaust, I was just advised to go stock for my needs, quiet and cheap.

There actually aren't. There is one Harley branded shop, pretty deep in Long Island, which I did speak with, and I think one in Manhattan. I think there are a few, like 1 - 2 authorized dealers as well scattered around. There are very few bike shops in general in the area, and the biggest ones don't really do Harley's.The Harley dealership is who recommended I look for a stock exhaust system. Baffles aren't ideal as I've been told that the pipes are one specifically made to be loud, and they have baffles in already. I am going to attempt to remove and wrap them, but I suspect it won't be enough of a solution, so I'm looking for the exhaust in advanced. As you mentioned, it might be hard to find, so I'm starting early.

The other shop's I've spoken with suggested solution is aftermarket exhausts, screaming eagle was mentioned, but they seem very expensive. I flatly stated that I can't use a slip on, because it is the case, as per the shop I visited. The pipe is not compatible with a slip on, I wish it was, as this would almost be a non-issue. I don't know what the pipe type is called, but the end flares out like a tuba. That said, I have an open mind, any solution that can quiet the bike is appreciated. I'm not attached to doing the exhaust change, I just want to lower the decibels of the bike.

The only way a slip-on is not an option is if the pipes are WELDED together, all the way from the header to the open end at the back.

LOUD pipes don't have a real baffle. Nothing you do to a straight through "baffle" pipe around the outside has any real impact.

I have successfully created a muffler from a "fake baffle" years ago and the first step was putting a plug in the middle of it to force the flow OUT of the sides and then back IN before it exits. Then you can pack that space between the "baffle" and the outside wall.
But that won't work with most designs.

I really think what you need to do is bite the bullet and pay the price for what you really need.
But further research and experimentation will be educational.
You just need to know when to give up and fork out the cash.

I think a slip on is incompatible because it's a cycle shack straight/drag pipe. Looking into the pipe, I think you're right about the baffle. It's close to the edges, but doesn't have anything in the middle. I've since found a stock headpipe, so now I just need to find a stock muffler, or a comparable quiet muffler. Possibly also the mounting bracket.
